Chrome Plating
Hard chrome plating is generally applied to molds to provide resistance against corrosion and heat, increase hardness, improve wear resistance, and create a smooth and aesthetically pleasing surface. This includes mold steels, acid-etched surfaces, and sandblasted surfaces. Parts with hard chrome plating can be used as-is or finished to achieve the desired matte or glossy chrome appearance.
Benefits of Chrome Plating
- Corrosion Resistance: Increases durability.
- Wear Resistance: Enhances the lifespan of parts.
- Heat Resistance: Prevents yellowing and darkening, extending mold life.
- Decorative Appearance: Provides a more attractive aesthetic.
